Fraud warnings

We have had reports of two activities where our names have been used fraudulently to take money from unsuspecting victims. Note that we take these seriously, and report them to ActionFraud. Below are warnings for the activities which we’re currently aware of.

Property deposit scam warning

We have been informed of a property scam regarding an individual who is using the name Andersons Solicitors fraudulently to lend legitimacy to an agreement sent to victims requesting deposit monies for rental properties.

If you receive an Assured Tenancy Agreement including an Andersons Solicitors logo to act as a solicitor’s signature, you should be advised that this is fraudulent and that you should not engage further or hand over any money or financial details.

We have reported this to ActionFraud, and recommend that anyone who has received this also make a report to them to build their case. Any queries regarding this can be forwarded to info@dbsplus.co.uk or 0800 157 7055.

Credit recovery phishing scam warning

We have also been made aware of our DBS Law brand and address being used in a credit recovery phishing operation.

If you have received a call from someone claiming to be from DBS Law telling you that we can recover money you’ve lost from scammers online, please do not engage them and instead please report this to ActionFraud.

We have currently only been alerted to an instance in Italy, but this may happen in the UK and elsewhere.

We have reported this to ActionFraud, and recommend that anyone who has received this also make a report to them to build their case. Any queries regarding this can be forwarded to info@dbsplus.co.uk or 0800 157 7055.
