More than a law firm
At DBS Law, we’re not like traditional law firms – and we don’t hide it!
We’re always looking at innovative new ways of servicing our clients, staying true to our core values of providing award-winning customer service, working to provide added value beyond our legal service offering, and having a positive impact to the communities we serve in the Midlands and nationwide.
This is highlighted through being the first law firm to receive the Government Cabinet Office’s Customer Service Excellence charter mark award, through our additional offerings through our legal and professional services such as our fee-share network Atrium or our lunchtime briefings Law over Lunch, as well as through our community work with DBS Heart.
Through extensive investment in our IT infrastructure, we are now able to offer a number of flexible working initiatives to our staff including flexible hours, home working, and hot-desking.
We offer our staff a range of employee benefits including:
- private health insurance
- dental cover,
- a monthly contribution towards gym membership,
- life assurance,
- death in service cover, and
- a stakeholder pension.
Private Client – Training Contract
At DBS Law the work in the private client dept. is more diverse than most other practice areas. Our private client team work with individuals, families and intermediaries. They provide legal advice on matters such as UK and overseas taxation, wealth and estate planning, reporting obligations, charities, wills and testamentary issues. We also have a dedicated Court of Protection expertise where we look after people who lack the mental capacity to handle their own financial affairs or make decisions regarding their own welfare.
Our Private client lawyers work with individuals and families, providing advice on a wide range of topics such as estate structuring, taxation and trust administration. DBS are dedicated to private client work, covering not only the traditional will writing and estate structuring, but also residential property, probate, contentious probate and family law.
If you are an ambitious, LPC-educated candidate with private client experience we would like you to be our Trainee Solicitor.
The position will entail working on your own caseload of matters under the supervision of a senior Solicitor. It’s important that you will have gained experience within an existing private client department and that you will have covered drafting of Wills, estate work and LPAs.
This is a rare opportunity to train as a Solicitor with a leading firm in the area that can offer an excellent long-term career path with a high retention record for Trainee Solicitors.
A great opportunity has arisen for an individual with commercial and/or residential property expertise to join a busy property department.
We are looking for someone to provide leadership and direction to the existing team to continue to build the department whilst being mindful of compliance requirements. With a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience, you will be able to work with minimal supervision and in an organised manner.
You will take the lead on business development, attending networking and business development events. You will be confident and enthusiastic with proven experience of identifying and securing new opportunities.
