It is the people that make a good business, so finding the right combination of tools to make sure you get the most from your staff and efficiently deal with any issues they bring is one of the most important aspects of running a business.
Once a business has the right tools, policies and procedures in place, keeping them up to date can be a daunting task, and actually following them can be full of inadvertent mishaps.
DBS Law’s employment team can save your business the management time involved and help avoid costly mistakes being made by assessing how changes in the law affecting employment impact on your businesses. As part of a full Employment Health Check we can make recommendations on how to incorporate any new developments into your existing policies and procedures, or if necessary we can do the Drafting of New Contracts, Policies and Procedures for you and assist in their implementation.
Our aim is to work with you, as part of your team, to help ensure disputes with your employees and workers don’t arise in the first place; to both safeguard you as employer and also your business reputation.
Our services can be tailor made to fit your circumstances, ranging from the traditional “pay as you go” at competitive rates, through to a full retainer, whereby your business pays a manageable monthly sum to us, as if we were part of an internal HR team, enabling you to make contact with our expert advisors when you need them for advice and assistance without any additional cost.
The agreed, economic monthly fee payment provides for an Employment Helpline, with unlimited telephone or email contact with a qualified employment lawyer to answer all your queries regarding employment law before you take action under any of your policies and procedures.
As part of this service, the office is open between 09:00 and 17:30 each week day and the telephones are answered 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our employment team can be contacted when your business needs them; after all we appreciate that many decisions are made outside of normal office hours.
In the event that things do go wrong, we are also able to offer full Representation before the employment tribunals.
