Marketing Consultant with DBS Law .
Expertise: - Davinder, founder of the company, commenced as a successful Personal Injury Solicitor and now oversees many elements of the company and has a particular interest in Marketing and Media.
Experience: - Davinder believes in investing in the employees and clients and has achieved this by DBS Law being listed in the Sunday Times 100 Companies to work for and is also listed in The Legal 500. Davinder emphasises upon client needs with the provision of clear advice and customized service designed to suit the budget and service requirements of the client. He believes that DBS Heart is more than a CSR policy and by working closely as a team with Prince’s Trust, BRAKE, CBSO, Birmingham City Council and Midlands Air Ambulance, DBS Law go beyond the obligatory CSR policy and continue to aim to make a significant difference to communities across the UK.
Interests: - Davinder has a keen interest in developing current products and services in particular; client led legal services. He also carries out pro-bono work with the Sikh Channel Community which is broadcasted internationally on the SKY platform.

Abdul joined DBS Law in 2010.
Expertise: - Abdul’s expertise includes buying, selling, re-mortgaging and leasing both commercial and residential property for clients. Abdul has acted for clients in complicated property portfolio purchases, sales and re-mortgages. Abdul’s expertise also covers acting for clients in Shariah compliant mortgage transactions. Abdul attends auctions and acts for clients whether they are buying or selling property. Some of our clients instruct Abdul to conduct all usual due diligence prior to bidding at auction and spending tens if not hundreds of thousands of pounds. Another area that Abdul has particular expertise in is acting for clients in the transfer of ownership or equity release, especially in the current economic climate where banks are perceived as not lending as freely as they were a few years ago. Transferring property by claiming adverse possession can prove to be difficult. Abdul has expertise and knowledge of submitting applications to the Land Registry for adverse possession. Abdul has a clear sense of commercial awareness and clients often rely on Abdul’s expertise to think outside the box and add real value to whatever they choose to do.
Experience: - Abdul has approximately 10 years’ experience of working as a solicitor and advising many clients on property transactions nationally. Abdul’s wide range of experience includes acting in multi million pound transactions, acting for buyers and sellers in the sale of empty/ rented properties and small businesses. Abdul also has vast experience acting for both landlords and tenants in leasehold transactions. He continues to act for developers on the acquisition of development land (with or without an option agreement) and the subsequent sale of plots, after the development is complete. Abdul’s experience also covers acting for buyers and sellers in residential transactions. So whether you’re buying, selling, leasing commercial or residential property or land Abdul can help. Some tax advisers may advise clients to put their property in a SIPP (self-invested personal pensions). Although, Abdul is not a tax adviser he has experience in transferring properties into a SIPP, whenever instructed to do so by a client. Abdul can deal with all sorts of deeds and licences such as, deeds of variation, deeds of surrender, rent deposit deeds, licences to assign/ underlet a lease, licence to carryout works, licence to occupy etc. Under the leadership of Abdul our property department has been recognised by the Legal 500 as being a leading provider of commercial property services, within 15 months of the property department being set up.

Andrew works at the DBS Andersons office in Nottingham.
Expertise:- Andrew is a member of the Law Society’s personal injury panel and APIL and has conducted a wide variety of personal injury and clinical negligence cases over many years and has a wealth of experience in general litigation work.
In the last 7 years Andrew has acquired and developed an expertise in all aspects of contested probate work ranging from challenging wills for lack of mental capacity, undue influence and lack of knowledge and approval, to making and defending claims for clients under the Inheritance Act.
Experience:- Andrew joined Andersons in 1990 becoming a partner in 1994 and a Director at DBS Andersons in October 2013.
Andrew has recovered large six figure sums for clients who have been injured during the birthing procedure and for a client whose broken neck was not diagnosed and properly treated. He also acted for one of the contractors in the Wembley Stadium litigation.
Interests:- Andrew is an avid tennis player and a member of his local club. When not on the tennis court, he enjoys skiing, attending the gym and playing golf.

Anthony works at the DBS Andersons office in Nottingham.
Expertise:- Anthony specialises in employment law; advising national 'household' names to local businesses on organisational issues to everyday HR queries. He provides training on all aspects of employment law focusing on improving employment practices and manages a broad employment tribunal caseload.
Experience:- Anthony joined DBS Andersons Solicitors in 2004.
He has over a decade of experience in providing specialist employment law advice. He has particular expertise in handling contentious employment tribunal matters and is relied upon by his clients to carry out his own advocacy. Cases have included successfully representing national pub chains, one of the UK’s largest retail bookmakers, a solicitor’s practice, local authorities, a multi-national brewer and one of Europe’s leading soft drinks companies.
In relation to transactional matters; Anthony has expertise in guiding his clients through re-organisations by reason of TUPE or individual/collective redundancy and has also advised on public to private sector transfers.
In 2011, The Legal 500 commented: “Household names in the leisure industry, as well as smaller businesses, benefit from the exceptional service, depth of knowledge, accuracy of advice and excellent value for money available from Anthony Kay” and in 2012 he was recommended as an “Excellent Communicator”.

Renukah joined DBS Law in 2007.
Expertise: - Renukah is a qualified Solicitor and a Director of the company. She specialises in the Personal Injury Department and deals with a wide range of cases from Road Traffic Accidents, Employer Liability, and Public Liability including dog bite cases and has also developed a specialism of dealing with Clinical Negligence claims. Renukah is responsible for overseeing the education and training department of the company and aims to ensure that all employees within the company are given the opportunity to gain excellent knowledge and expertise in their chosen field.
Experience: - Renukah has over 8 years of extensive experience in dealing with Personal Injury Claims including Clinical Negligence claims; she typically deals with fast and multi-track cases. Renukah delivers results with excellence and has previously achieved compensation on a disputed Employer Liability case as well as securing over £250,000 compensation for a client following an accident at work. She also successfully achieved £15,000.00 compensation for a client who was claiming against a hospital for their negligence.

Vicky joined DBS Law in 2007.
Expertise: - Vicky deals with a variety of serious personal injury cases involving claims arising out of road traffic accidents, accidents at work and in public places. She is a Team Leader, supervising 5 other members of the personal injury department. Vicky was appointed as an Associate Director in September 2012.
Experience: - Vicky commenced her legal career at Russell Jones and Walker and qualified upon joining DBS Law. Vicky also holds her Higher Rights of Audience. Vicky’s most notable cases include reaching a settlement of behalf of a lady walking across a pedestrian crossing when she was struck. The Defendant was convicted of driving without due care and attention and had her licence suspended for 3 months. The Claimant went on to develop chronic pain syndrome requiring significant medical investigation. The matter settled in the sum of £335,000.00 which includes a sum for care and assistance for the rest of her life. Most recently, Vicky settled a claim on behalf of a poultry farmer who suffered horrific injuries on his way to work when the Defendant fell asleep at the wheel. The Claimant was compensated for a life time’s loss of earnings and care and assistance.

Faizal works at the DBS Andersons office in Leicester.
Expertise: - Faizal is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and has gone on to secure advocacy rights and has also qualified as a Legal Executive Advocate. His experience is principally in litigation and has handled large value complex litigation claims. He was also the Head of Litigation at the Leicestershire County Council where he undertook litigation and advisory work at local government level. Faizal also worked as Head of Legal in industry where he advised on all aspects of commercial agreements and dispute resolution issues arising out of trademarks and intellectual property issues.
Experience:- Faizal acted on a group personal injury claim acting for seven claimants who were injured following exposure to the Legionella bacteria. The range of injuries amongst claimants varied and the total damages secured in total exceeded £1 million.
Faizal has also undertaken industrial disease claims and has also successfully secured damages for clients injured by exposure to asbestos. Some of the damages have been recovered for British-based claimants in the USA where Faizal worked alongside American lawyers.
In respect of non-personal injury related claims, Faizal acted for a local authority in the Technologies and Construction Court in respect of a contract dispute and the Council were faced with a claim which was valued at £40 million. This was a complex dispute and Faizal worked with a leading QC and junior counsel in dealing with the various issues and also conducted mediation meetings and advised the executive management committee of the local authority. The claim was successfully defended.
In addition to the legal work that Faizal undertakes as part of his work he also commits a significant amount of time in undertaking pro bono and advisory work in the community. He has received various national awards and was voted pro bono lawyer of the year by the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and was also the inaugural winner of the DLA Paul Nicholls Memorial Foundation Award for excellence in Pro Bono work.
Interests: - Faizal has a keen interest in following rugby and cricket. He is a keen supporter of the Leicester Tigers and follows the Indian Premier league cricket with interest. He also plays golf whenever he can but admits that time is often an issue. Faizal is also a keen cook and has a real interest in Indian cuisine and often helps his brother-in-law who operates a commercial kitchen cooking for parties and weddings.

Peter works at the DBS Andersons office in Nottingham.
Expertise: - Peter deals with business transfers from corner shops to company sales and purchases. He also specialises in commercial property sales and acquisitions and commercial landlord and tenant work. He is a team leader in Nottingham for the residential and commercial property and private client department and is an Associate Director of the company.
Experience:- Peter has been a solicitor for over 25 years and was until recently a partner with Andersons Solicitors in Nottingham. He has recently completed the purchase of a pre let commercial property in Nottingham for an investor client for £1,075,000.00 and the purchase of a factory site for £2,925,000.00 and the sale of an information technology company for £650,000.00.
Interests: - Peter enjoys running half marathons and climbing in the mountains of Scotland; he sings with Southwell Choral Society and is a governor at an inner city primary school in Nottingham. He also follows the fortunes of the England cricket team and in his spare time enjoys gardening, playing the piano and reading history.

Sally works at the DBS Andersons office in Nottingham as Consultant.
Expertise: - Sally mainly deals with Respondent based employment law in the pub, restaurant and leisure sector. She also acts for clients in the public sector and companies ranging from owner manager to PLC’s.
Experience: - Sally joined DBS Andersons Solicitors in 2001. Following completion of a Master’s Degree, Sally commenced her legal career at Russell, Jones and Walker and qualified upon joining DBS Andersons Solicitors.
She has successfully represented and advised clients in the leisure sector; assessing risk and offering pragmatic and commercial advice in relation to internal procedure, reorganisation, harmonisation and redundancy.
Sally is very experienced in Tribunal litigation and has undertaken advocacy in all major Tribunal centres. Recently she successfully represented a major pub client in a multi-day hearing recovering costs.
Sally has implemented several major training initiatives targeted at highlighting and eradicating frequent issues in disciplinary processes and workplace behaviour for retail clients.
She regularly attends Employment Lawyers Association meetings and tutors on the LLB course at Leicester University .

Angela Fitzpatrick is the Head of Department at DBS Law.
Angela is a personal injury Lawyer with over 20 years experience representing injured Claimants and their families. Her practice encompasses all aspects of Personal Injury claims specialising in high value serious injury claims including spinal injuries, amputees, brain injury, fatal accidents, occupational disease in particular Mesothelioma claims. For 22 years (13 years as a Partner) at a National Claimant Law firm she represented Trade Union and Staff Association members pursuing a wide variety of Personal Injury claims. This has given her extensive experience of cases involving workplace accidents. She has a particular interest in claims involving seriously injured cyclists having represented members of a National Cycling Organisation.
Angela has pursued numerous complex Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeals. She is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and a Mentor for students at the Kyra Institute.

Farhat joined DBS Law in 2010.
Expertise: - Farhat is a specialist family solicitor advising on all aspects of family law. She is a member of the Law Society Family Law Advanced Panel, a Resolution trained Collaborative lawyer and a member of Resolution.
Experience: - Farhat has fourteen years of experience in family law. She has dealt with a broad range of family law issues: divorce and separation, financial disputes between married couples, disputes between parents over children’s issues, domestic abuse and disputes between cohabitants and civil partners. Farhat has undertaken many high profile cases in the High Court, Family Division, ranging from ward ship and tracing a child’s whereabouts, to children’s issues involving the inter-relationship of English law and the jurisdiction of non-Hague Convention countries. She has conducted complex cases for financial remedies between married couples, including a successful case in the Court of Appeal.

Gursharan joined DBS Law in March 2013
Expertise: - Gursharan qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 and specialises in Private Client Law. Gursharan’ s expertise within this discipline include the Administration of Estates (Probate), making Wills, Tax planning, Trusts and administration of the same, Lasting Powers of Attorneys, Deputyship Applications and Elderly Client advice.
Experience: - Gursharan has 11 years of experience in private client work and has represented a large variety of Clients, from those in a High Street firm to high net worth clients in large city firms. Gursharan enjoys dealing with complex Probate matters which have been complicated by mentally incapacitated executors/beneficiaries or those which involve contentious issues. Gursharan had dealt with a number of complex high net worth matters which have often proven difficult and has brought such matters to a successful conclusion. Gursharan holds a free weekly legal surgery at a Temple in Wolverhampton where she has developed some excellent links with members of the community.

Muneeb joined DBS Law in 2011.
Expertise: - Muneeb is the head of the Corporate Team and specialises in mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, acting for SME’s, entrepreneurs, management teams, and public bodies.
Experience: - Muneeb has over 10 years’ experience working on a full range of corporate transactions. Muneeb has extensive experience in relation to public/private joint ventures and partnerships including more recently in the Education, Housing and Health sectors, acting both for large privates, and other public sector bodies including various Local Authorities, and lenders. Prior to joining DBS, Muneeb worked for leading National and European law firms advising on various multimillion pound cross border transactions for high profile clients, including the largest privately owned construction company in the UK. Some examples include; Acting for the FM provider on the £100m STEPS outsourcing contract. Advising Birmingham City Council on its £160m investment into its secondary schools programme. Advising Barclays Bank PLC, and Miller Group in relation to a multimillion pound joint venture with a consortium of GP’s, and being the first of its type in the country.

Roger works at DBS Hearne as a Consultant.
Expertise: - Roger qualified as a Solicitor in 1971 and established his own busy firm of Hearne & Co. in 1981.
Experience: - Roger primarily has vast amount of experience in both residential and commercial property law, wills and probate matters before expanding the firm to include a criminal, matrimonial, employment and civil litigation caseload – in all cases with a strong emphasis on providing a friendly family approach.
Roger merged his practice with DBS Law in July 2013 and now continues to assist in a consultancy capacity on all types of property and private client matters.

Adeel joined DBS Law in 2010.
Expertise: - Adeel is a LLB Law graduate and currently a client advisor at the firm. He always aims to deliver an excellent level of service to our clients over the telephone and whilst visiting them at their homes.
Experience: - Adeel recently joined the Client Care Department and previously held a Paralegal position. His experience as a Paralegal has provided extensive knowledge in dealing with Road Traffic Accidents which is valuable whilst working as a Client Advisor. Prior to this, he has additional experience in working in a customer service environment.

Aleema joined DBS Law in 2009.
Expertise: - Aleema specialises in the Personal Injury Department. She deals with Public Liability and Employers Liability cases however she particularly handles Road Traffic Accident cases involving clients who have sustained injuries arising out of motor accidents, as drivers, passengers or pedestrians.
Experience: - Aleema graduated from The University of Wolverhampton in 2008 and subsequently completed her Diploma in Legal Practice at College of Law, Birmingham. Previously, Aleema worked as a Client Advisor in the Client Care Department. She then progressed into the Personal Injury Department in 2010. Aleema manages her own case load and has been successful in settling a high number of cases on a monthly basis.

Angela works at the DBS Andersons office in Nottingham.
Expertise :- Angela has more than 15 years’ experience as a solicitor specialising in providing proactive legal advice to medium and higher net worth individuals on all aspects of divorce, civil partnership dissolution and separation including; finances, pensions, property and arrangements for children of the relationship. Angela also advises clients on Cohabitation Agreements. She has a particular interest in cases involving Contact/Residence disputes.
Experience :- Angela is a member of Resolution and is committed to providing a non-confrontational and cost-effective service to her clients.
Since 2001 Angela has been a Resolution Accredited Specialist Family Lawyer, her current Accreditations being in the areas of Children Law – Disputes between Parents or Relatives and Complex Financial and Property Matters – medium to low income households.
Angela has also trained as an All Issues Mediator with Resolution.
Prior to specialising in family law Angela worked as a solicitor in a civil litigation department dealing with disputes involving land and professional negligence claims arising from property transactions.

Baljit joined DBS Law in 2010.
Expertise: - Baljit has outstanding skills in providing an excellent service to clients face to face and on the telephone. She efficiently deals with any enquiries and provides secretarial support.
Experience: - Previously, Baljit has an extensive amount of valuable secretarial experience as she previously worked at Challinors Solicitors for over 20 years as a legal secretary dealing with criminal matters, property law, family law and personal injury law.

Bobby joined DBS Law in 2013.
Bobby has extensive knowledge in assessing claims especially Personal Injury related enquiries. Bobby is always aiming to exceed client expectations by offering an excellent level of service to all of our clients. He leads the Client Care Department and assists in developing systems and procedures to ensure quick and efficient response to clients.
Bobby is fluent in Punjabi.
Bobby originally commenced employment as a Client Advisor in 2008 and after a short break in 2013, Bobby returned to the company as a Team Leader. He has shown excellent client relationship skills and aims to further improve client retention levels. Bobby continuously assists to develop his team member’s skills.
He has previously attended summer fairs, concerts and networking events in order to promote DBS Law to potential clients.

Expertise: - Bobby is a team leader of the accounts department. Currently Level 3 AAT qualified and specialises in all aspects of legal cashiering and accounting work. Bobby is looking forward to commencing his Level 4 studies in the New Year ensuring he is fully AAT qualified.
Experience: - Bobby has over 11 years’ experience within the legal cashier field. He has considerable knowledge of The Solicitor’s Accounts Rules. This enables him to ensure everything is done accurately and the department is compliant of the rules at all times. He plays a vital role within the department in creating new and streamlining current processes. He was quickly promoted to the team leader position upon joining DBS Law.

Clive is a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants (FFA) and joined the company in 2008. He previously spent 17 years at an international law firm. Clive is a senior member in our accomplished accounts team undertaking all aspects of business accounting and budgetary control.

Diana works at the DBS Andersons office in Nottingham.
Expertise:- Diana is a skilled secretary working in the Employment Law and Civil Litigation Department.
Experience:- Diana joined DBS Andersons Solicitors in 2002 and prior to this, Diana worked in Africa for 30 years as a Legal Secretary for a firm specialising in Patents and Trade Marks.
Since joining DBS Andersons she has been the bedrock of the Employment and Civil Litigation department. She maintains a calm and professional approach at all times assisting both clients and staff members in a helpful and friendly manner.
Interests:- Diana enjoys digging on her allotment, watching football (supporting Chelsea and Liverpool) and looking after her grand-daughter.

Donna joined DBS Law in 2013.
Expertise: - Donna is a qualified Legal Secretary currently holding the ILEX Legal Secretaries Diploma specialising in residential conveyancing. She is hard working, willing to learn, develop and will always go that extra mile to provide the highest level of support.
Experience: - Donna has been a Legal Secretary for 8 years and has provided a first class support service to large organisations working for individual Solicitors. The support Donna has provided has allowed clients and brokers to trust and rely upon her to provide updates on their transaction and to follow through with any request to assist in the smooth running of their transaction. Donna has worked alongside Partners and Solicitors and has accomplished an award for her support. Donna has trained junior secretaries on complex case management systems. She has also assisted in the running and change of case management systems to assist team members in their day to day duties.
Interests: - Donna enjoys socialising with friends and spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys fine art and has had her art work exhibited at Birmingham Airport.
Elena graduated in LLB Law from Birmingham City University in 2009 and then completed the Legal Practice Course from the College of Law in 2010. She then went on to gain valuable experience as a Paralegal at Levenes Solicitors followed on by Lyons Davidson. Elena has handled a varied case load consisting of Employer Liability, Public Liability, CICA as well as Road Traffic Accident claims.
She joined the firm in February 2012 and is employed as a Litigation Executive in the Personal Injury department.
Elena speaks fluent Slovakian as well as English.

Previously, Emma was an Administrative Assistant, however with her continuous hard work; Emma developed her role into a Legal Secretary. Ghazalah joined DBS Law in 2013.
Expertise: - Ghazalah is a paralegal in the Residential Property Department and is based at our DBS Hearne office.
Experience: - Ghazalah completed a law degree at the University of Wolverhampton in 2002 before returning to complete the Legal Practice Course in 2007. She has over 7 years of experience working as a property paralegal dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing, including freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, registered and unregistered land.
Ghazalah endeavours to provide clients with advice that has been tailored to their individual needs.

Guy works at the DBS Andersons office in Nottingham.
Expertise: - Guy qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and joined DBS Andersons Solicitors in 2012. Guy deals with wills, lasting and enduring powers of attorney, deputyship and associated court of protection applications and the administration of estates and trusts.
Experience: - Guy commenced his legal career at Crane & Walton in Leicestershire before joining Andersons Solicitors. Guy is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE).
Guy has dealt with many Inheritance Tax paying estates, preparing HM Revenue and Customs accounts, dealing with amendments and obtaining partial refunds when possible.
Guy has also has been involved with several intestacies (estates of persons dying without a will) during his time administering estates and has dealt with the Bona Vacantia Division of the Treasury Solicitor’s Office and genealogists to trace and identify beneficiaries and obtain insurance.
Since joining DBS Andersons Solicitors, Guy has been acting on behalf of the Deputy appointed to administer the financial settlements of clients who had suffered personal injury, involving regular contact with the family of the clients, the Deputy and the Court of Protection and submitting annual reports to the Office of the Public Guardian.
Interests: - Guy enjoys playing squash in his local league, swimming, following the England Cricket Team (though not as a member of the Barmy Army), practising his conversational French and spending time with his young family.

In addition Jane compiles Wills for clients and has also had many years’ experience in the probate area. Interests: - Jane is a fully qualified dance teacher being the principal of two very successful dance schools. She enjoys playing tennis at a large club in Sutton Coldfield and is a member of the ladies teams. Jascaran joined DBS Law in 2010.
Expertise: - Jascaran’ s skills and knowledge range from Claimant and Defendant personal injury and credit hire litigation. He currently deals with Road Traffic Accidents, Employer’s Liability Claims and Public Liability Claims.
Experience: - Jascaran graduated from Keele University studying BA in Economics and Finance. He went on to obtain the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Birmingham. He gained a wealth of experience whilst working for a large Defendant law firm based in Coventry before joining CTS to undertake Claimant personal injury litigation. Jascaran was previously successful in a case against the police, where his client was bitten by a police dog who mistook the client for a wrong doer. He was also successful in a case against Manchester United Football Club where an employee of Manchester United FC catering staff slipped on the match day near the kitchen area causing cuts and bruises to his arms.
Interests: - Jascaran plays and captains an 11 a side Sunday League Football in Coventry and regularly organises football games between staff. He also enjoys other sporting activities together with travelling, reading and spending time with friends and family.

Experience: - Before joining DBS Law he spent 17 years working in an accountancy practice in Birmingham, providing audit, accountancy and taxation services to an extensive range of clients, with Legal firms being his speciality. Jonathan is responsible for overseeing the accounts department and maintaining budgetary control for the company. He aims to ensure that all staff members within the department are given the opportunity to gain excellent knowledge and expertise.
Interests: - Jonathan is a keen sailor and can be found on the water racing dinghies most weekends. He is also a RYA dinghy instructor teaching both adults and children to sail.

Experience: - Kristel has a number of years’ experience in the property field and has represented a large number of individuals and lenders. Kristel started her career with a Birmingham city center law firm where she trained and after qualifying as a Solicitor became a team leader to a property team handling a wide variety of property transactions and Kristel is able to draw upon this experience and expertise to advise on many aspects of residential property law. Whilst training Kristel was awarded the Law Society Trainee Solicitor of the Year award and had subsequently written articles for several newspapers and lectured at the University she had attended, highlighting the difficulties law students can face in trying to secure a training contract and not to give up. Louis joined DBS Law in 2008.
Expertise: - Louis has been representing the victims of accidents for over twenty years. He specialises in Employer’s Liability cases but has extensive experience in all types of personal injury work. Louis also represents clients on road traffic offences in the criminal courts.
Experience: - Louis started work in welfare rights and civil liberties then specialised in personal injury work for trade unions. He had conducted several thousand accidents and disease claims for trade union members. He has used this experience successfully for the clients at DBS Law. In particular, Louis has been heavily involved in running cases relating to defective buses and lorries which overlapped with his criminal work. He has developed an expert knowledge of road traffic law. Louis has been consistently the firm’s most successful personal injury lawyer. Recently, he settled the largest personal injury claim ever to be handled by the firm. This was a case where a client developed post traumatic epilepsy and was unable to work as a result of his injuries. The case settled for approximately £750,000.
Interests: - Louis takes a keen interest in the current debate as to litigation funding and the future of claims. Outside of work he retains an interest in Politics and current affairs but his main interest is his family life.

Masud joined DBS Law in 2013.
Masud has recently worked for a finance company who distributed finance such as credit cards, personal loans as well as agreements taken out by consumers. He has now transferred his excellent client care skills to DBS Law where he deals with new and existing client queries.
Masud has experience within a call centre where customer rapport and satisfaction is essential, therefore he understands clients who may need our help or services and aims to always exceed client expectations.
Masud has won various employees of the month awards as well as the best newcomer award at his previous role.
Masud enjoys his sports such as football and table tennis. He also makes his own music by vocally recording and mixing at professional studios during his spare time.

Neeru joined DBS Law in 2010.
Expertise: - Neeru is a valued member of the Personal Injury Department, mainly dealing with Road Traffic Accident claims.

Having started out as a volunteer at DBS Law over four years ago, Neeru initially worked within the Client Care Department. She then did a short spell at another national firm, Russell Jones and Walker conducting some of the highly published ‘sofa dermatitis cases’, before returning to DBS Law. Neeru was first to issue and settle a case under Stage 3 of the Rapid Claim Portal at Birmingham County Court; A new system that was introduced to streamline the claims process and to make it more straightforward for claimants.
Interests: - Neeru enjoys participating in sport activities such as BSG Rounder’s and BTSS events. Neeru also enjoys travelling and volunteering. She has recently assisted orphans and taught English at schools in Kenya.

Rupy joined DBS Law in 2007.
Expertise: - Rupy commenced as a Paralegal in the Personal Injury Department and started her diploma in legal practice at Birmingham City University in 2008 and continued working full time. She successfully completed her diploma in legal practice in June 2010 and commenced her training contract in September 2011. She qualified as a Solicitor in September 2013.
Experience: - Rupy has over five years of experience in dealing with personal injury claims, ranging from road traffic accidents, work place accidents and slips and trips. One of Rupy’s success stories is settling a multi-track road traffic accident case where £70,000 was awarded in damages, after the Claimant suffered a serious injury to his ankle following a collision in a Sikh Community Centre, when the Defendant reversed his vehicle into the Claimant. Three previous offers had been made prior to settlement. Counsel was instructed and advice was sought on two occasions with the Claimant in conference. This case was complex in that the Claimant wanted to pursue a big claim for loss of earnings despite being made redundant from his job shortly after the accident. He failed to mitigate his loss and became dependant on benefits, which is common occurrence with Claimants. Despite this complexity she managed to get the Defendants to agree to some of his claim for loss of earnings

Expertise: - Sandeep works in two of the firm’s key departments: Corporate Department and the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.
Experience: - Prior to joining DBS Law, he had attained his Masters in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulations from the University of Warwick. He is actively involved in assisting the firms SME’s, owner managed businesses and start up’s in relation to all of their corporate and dispute resolution matters. Sandeep is developing a new practice area involving, assisting and advising clients on the miss-selling of financial derivative products. Sandeep has successfully assisted in completions of share purchase transactions, as well as resolving an Inter-Pleader dispute.
Interests: - Sandeep has an interest in world music, and additionally plays the bass guitar. He has had the opportunity to perform amongst varied audiences within the UK, as well as on an international scale.

Vicky joined DBS Law in 2013.
Expertise: -Vicky’s skills and knowledge cover a wide area ranging from marketing through to filming, advertising productions and event planning. As part of the marketing department Vicky coordinates the organisation’s day to day business communications, public relations and advertising activities. Vicky conducts research in order to develop marketing campaigns to promote the organisation’s services; liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders.
Experience: -Vicky has several years of experience in filming and advertising production. Vicky started her career in Dada-Art as a Production Manager, collaborating with many multinational companies and famous artists regarding event planning and advertising.
Vicky gained huge experience in communications through volunteering as a Public Information Officer for the Greek Ministry of Transport and Communications & the General Secretariat for Youth, specialising in the sector of tourism.
Previously whilst working in production, Vicky won the First Prose Poetry and Writing Award awarded by the Union of Northern Greek Writers and also received second place worldwide at the Mo-Films Barcelona Short Film Competition for the short film “Wake-up”.
Interests: -Vicky enjoys travelling, reading, writing and volunteering to help the local community.
