unmarried partner applications

An application can be made for your unmarried partner to join you in the United Kingdom provided that the Immigration Rules in this area have been satisfied. You will be required to submit this application to an Entry Clearance Post or British High Commission Consulate. If the application is successful, the applicant will be granted leave to remain for a period not exceeding 27 months. Before the expiry of this visa, providing the Immigration Rules are satisfied, the applicant can make an application for further leave to remain as an unmarried partner of a person present and settled here.
