fiancé(e)/civil partner applications

DBS Law can prepare an application for your fiancé/civil partner to come to the UK to join you. You and your partner will be required to marry/register your civil partnership to one another after your partner arrives here. This application will fall within the Immigration Rules and is to be submitted by the applicant to an Entry Clearance Post or British High Commission Consulate.

We appreciate that it is heart breaking to be separated from loved ones and if you wish to instruct DBS Law to prepare this application upon your behalf, we will make it a stress free and easy experience for you, your partner and other family members. In every case, we will prepare an extensive personalised cover letter which is to be submitted as part of your application as part of the supporting evidence for the application and which will focus upon the strength of your relationship, highlighting how the Immigration Rules are met.

If the application is successful, the applicant will be granted leave to remain for a period of six months in which time you and your partner are required to register your marriage/civil partnership to enable the applicant to apply for further leave to remain upon the basis of your relationshipand be issued with a spouse visa.

If an application for entry clearance as a fiancé (e)/civil partnership is unsuccessful, you will receive a refusal letter. We will assess the merits of this and talk you through the reasons for refusal advising you of your options at this stage.
